HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid (HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011, HLTAID014, HLTAID015)

This is Nationally Recognised Training. A Statement of Attainment will be issued following the successful completion of the workshop.

Competencies covered in this workshop include:

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid
HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and oxygen therapy

Workshop duration is up to 16 practical hours and up to 4 eLearning hours.

Introduction:

There is a combination of assessment through this workshop including online components‚ practical face to face learning and written theory assessments. Students will learn how to provide an advanced first aid response, including life support and the management of a casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance and the provision of support to other providers.

This workshop would be suited to those going into a role where they are involved with a First Aid room.

It may also suit those working in or refreshing their skills in the following roles:

First Aid Trainers
Queensland Ambulance Officers (QAS)
Queensland Fire and Rescue (QFES)
Working in a First Aid Room
Managing a First Aid room

Please be advised that this is not an extensive list and this workshop may suit others in a variety of industries.

NOTE: There is a minimum number of students required for this workshop
